Camp Take Notice & MISSION
Visual Identity System

Great design must begin with a great story; I found my story at Camp Take Notice (CTN), a democratically self-governing community of homeless people currently residing on the outskirts of Ann Arbor, MI. CTN partners with M.I.S.S.I.O.N to provide a safe refuge of last resort. I tell the story of campers’ diverse struggles and triumphs through a visual language of symbols inspired by The National Park Service symbol for campsites, Ghanaian Adinkra symbols, and the 1920’s hobo symbol for safe camp here. Equipped with everything from a new website to striking t-shirts and hats to spray-chalk stencils, CTN can now be rebels with a cause.
